A deck that honours not only a timeless classic but the city in which Kong reaped havoc in. Against a backdrop of vibrant yellow, reminiscent of the bustling streets of Manhattan, the iconic building of the Empire State Building rises into view. Perched atop its summit, a colossal figure looms, his form rendered in shades of black, white, and grey. It's none other than the legendary King Kong, a symbol of raw power and untamed majesty. The foreground would be simplistic if it weren’t for interspersed bursts of yellow representing the iconic taxis that traverse the urban landscape of New York City. Upon King’s head a crown, representing his ‘King’ status. His presence on the skateboard deck is both awe-inspiring and unsettling, inviting viewers to contemplate the delicate balance between man and nature in the modern world. The board was made with a mix of techniques, first stencilled and then the finer details hand drawn in before hand painted to finish.
